Problem with Medicare Advantage Plan Toni: My mother suffered a stroke after aneurysm surgery; she is 66 and enrolled in a Medicare Advantage HMO. I have been advised to disenroll her from her Medicare Advantage plan and go back to regular Medicare Parts A and B with a Medicare Prescription Drug plan. About 3 years ago, Toni was helping one of her clients who had received wrong information from the local Social Security office. It took a couple of days to get this overwhelming problem straightened out and get her client his Medicare Part B. When it was all finished, Toni’s role as an insurance agent had changed to one who advocates for those on Medicare and those who have Health Insurance.
